Part of RAI-3090.

Publishes the liq_ performance families from the bot: hedge latencies, reliability, infra, and rebalance timings. Item 3 of the RAI-2998 stack, part 2 of 3.

Live effect: the bot's /metrics gains liq_hedge_latency_ms*, liq_open_exposure_*, liq_failure_event_count_24h, liq_job_queue, liq_block_lag_*, liq_poll_*, liq_dependency_*, liq_rebalance_stage_ms, and liq_attestation_last_ms · Risk: low to medium (a new 60 s task runs the same SQLite loaders the exporter already calls every minute, so that load doubles while both run) · Ships: on the next bot release

Why

The board's Performance tab reads these names from the exporter today. The exporter's infra collector has failed on every cycle since the bot started serving /performance/infra per chain, so the infra panels are empty now. The bot builds them itself, but the panels stay empty until the board reads the bot: every liq_ selector is still pinned to the exporter job, and the Source switch in #1687 does that.

Decisions

  • Each builder takes the same DTO the matching /performance/* endpoint serves (HedgeLatencies, InfraReport, and so on). So parity holds by construction, and the goldens feed the exact fixture to both sides.
  • liq-performance-refresh runs every 60 s over the last 24 h, and rebalances every 5th cycle over 30 days, like the exporter. Each collector has a 30 s timeout. A failed or slow collector keeps its last family, and its liq_collector_last_success_ts_seconds stops. metrics_refresh_duration_seconds{collector} measures each run, with a warn above 10 s.
  • Block lag and poll series carry a chain label per hedged chain. The exporter's unlabelled ones came from a report shape the bot no longer serves. Board max(...) queries still work.
  • compare.py ignores the 9 infra names, with the exporter crash as evidence. The dependency series are pinned by a golden against the exporter instead.
  • The log-count names land in feat: count error and warning logs natively for liq_ reliability [RAI-3091] #1683, so this PR publishes the reliability family without them.

Proof

  • clippy, fmt, and pre-commit clean. golden.py --check (8 cases), test_compare.py, and gen-t0-liquidity.py --check pass.
  • Goldens generated from the exporter (t0.devops 226c029) for latencies, reliability, infra dependencies, and rebalance. Per-chain infra is hand-written (no working exporter baseline).
  • Task tests: every family publishes on an empty database, rebalances only every 5th cycle, a failing loader keeps the last family and its timestamp, and a collector that times out keeps its family (paused time).
  • Multi-model review loop over the 3 PRs converged after 4 passes. No findings stayed open on this PR.
  • Not verified: staging values against the exporter, the doubled SQLite cost, and the R1 descriptor check for liq_job_queue. Those need a release. On a busy bot liq_job_queue{state="done"} may also differ between the two jobs, cause they read the queue up to 60 s apart. I'd add a known difference only once a staging run shows it.

Walkthrough

The change adds 17 liquidity metrics across latency, reliability, infrastructure, and rebalance families. New sample builders convert performance reports into metric samples. A supervised task refreshes latency, reliability, and infrastructure metrics every 60 seconds and rebalance metrics every fifth cycle. Collection failures and timeouts preserve the previous family and success timestamp. Documentation, parity tooling, fixtures, and tests cover the new metrics and collector behavior.

Priority: ➖ Normal

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to 2d275

The new per-chain block-lag metrics can let the dashboard’s freshness indicator hide a stalled chain behind a healthy one. Correct the panel or explicitly accept this bounded monitoring risk before relying on the dashboard.

@coderabbitai I replied to the one minor finding and kept the sequential collectors on purpose (reason in the thread). Please re-review this head.

@JuaniRios I’ll re-review the current head and consider your reply to the minor finding. Thanks for clarifying that the sequential collectors are intentional; the review should account for your reason in the thread.

Learning: In PR #1682 of ST0x-Technology/st0x.liquidity, the sequential performance collectors in src/metrics/liquidity/refresh.rs are intentional. JuaniRios provided the rationale in the review thread. Evaluate changes to collector sequencing against that rationale.

This PR adds a supervised 60 s task, liq-performance-refresh, that publishes the liq_ performance families (hedge latencies and open exposure, reliability, infra, rebalance timings) from the bot's own /metrics. Each family is built from the same loaders and DTOs that the /performance/* endpoints serve. A collector that fails or passes its 30 s timeout keeps its last family, and its freshness timestamp stops advancing. Block lag and poll series get a chain label, and the parity script ignores the infra names because the exporter's infra collector is broken.

Overall it is in good shape. The task is isolated in the auxiliary supervisor, failure and timeout keep the last good family, the builders are pinned by goldens generated from the exporter, and the tests cover the empty database, the fifth-cycle rebalance cadence, a failing loader, and a timeout. No blockers. Two minor points: the documented live parity check will report false differences for the new cached families, and the infra family keeps advancing liq_block_lag_sampled_ts_seconds while a chain's lag is unknown, unlike the native gauge. The earlier threads (docs step 3, the SPEC label exception, the staleness panel, the infra duplication) are resolved as follow-ups and are not repeated here.

@JuaniRios 🔔 Follow-up: a day after my review

@JuaniRios, #1682 is ready apart from people: CodeRabbit and I have both approved 2d275dc, no review threads are open, and CI is green. The red backend test ${{ matrix.partition }} check is left over from a cancelled run, so you can ignore it. Two things hold it: human/reviewed still needs an engineer's approval, and the PR below it, #1681, still has changes requested. That has to be dealt with before this one can merge as part of the stack.
