Describe the contribution
Restores the standard cFS lab ground-interface applications so the cFS GroundSystem talks directly to the software bus, with no F Prime GDS bridge in the loop:

  • Re-adds the nasa/ci_lab and nasa/to_lab submodules under apps/
  • Registers both apps in MISSION_GLOBAL_APPLIST and the cpu1 startup script
  • Adds a mission override of the TO_LAB subscription table (tables/cpu1_to_lab_sub.c) subscribing to the F Prime packetized telemetry message (0x0804 = secondary-header flag | ComCfg.Apid.FW_PACKET_PACKETIZED_TLM)

With this, GroundSystem commands flow over UDP :1234 -> CI_LAB -> SB -> fprime_app, and telemetry flows fprime_app -> SB -> TO_LAB -> UDP :2234 -> GroundSystem. The fprime_gds GdsBridge app remains solely the F Prime GDS (TCP) integration path.

Companion change: fprime-community/fprime_cfs#22 reworks the fprime-cfs GroundSystem tooling to target CI_LAB/TO_LAB directly (telemetry stream id 0x0804, cFS telemetry secondary header offsets, TO_LAB enable-output on startup) and removes the frame bridge.

Testing performed

  1. make SIMULATION=native prep && make && make install
  2. Ran core-cpu1 with apps/fprime_app at the ComCfg function-code branch and libs/fprime_cfs at the tooling branch
  3. fprime-cfs runner: generated GroundSystem config, launched cFS + GroundSystem GUI, TO_LAB output auto-enabled
  4. Verified in the GUI: Health telemetry page (0x804) decodes Packet Id/Time/channels via TO_LAB, and CfsCore.cmdDisp.CMD_NO_OP sent through CI_LAB increments CommandsDispatched to 1

Expected behavior changes

  • Behavior Change: cpu1 now loads CI_LAB (UDP :1234 command ingest) and TO_LAB (UDP :2234 telemetry output, enabled by command); TO_LAB subscribes to the F Prime packetized telemetry message

System(s) tested on

  • Hardware: PC (x86_64)
  • OS: Ubuntu 22.04 (SIMULATION=native)
  • Versions: cFE/OSAL/PSP at bundle submodule pins; ci_lab/to_lab v7.0.1+dev (main)

Additional context
Submodule pins for apps/fprime_app and libs/fprime_cfs are unchanged here; the function-code dictionary constant arrives via fprime-community/fprime_app#13 and the tooling via fprime-community/fprime_cfs#22.
