soloinplace/README.md

Hi, I'm Côme 👋

I'm a software engineering student at 42 Paris, building strong foundations from low-level programming to modern software systems.

My current work starts with C, Unix/Linux fundamentals, algorithms, memory management, file I/O, shell workflows, Makefiles, and debugging. As I progress through the 42 curriculum, I'm also moving toward systems and networks, backend development, object-oriented programming, web technologies, and software architecture.

Before moving deeper into software engineering, I worked in audio engineering and broadcast technical support, including mission-critical live production environments at France Télévisions.

This background gave me hands-on experience with technical troubleshooting, incident response, user support, live production constraints, and complex media workflows where reliability, clarity, and timing matter. It also shaped my interest in systems, infrastructure, media technology, developer tools, and creative software.

I'm especially interested in:

  • low-level programming and systems
  • backend development
  • Unix/Linux environments
  • networking and infrastructure
  • media, streaming and broadcast technology
  • developer tools and automation
  • creative audio and music technology

Current direction

  • C programming and Unix fundamentals
  • algorithms and data structures
  • systems and network administration
  • Python and object-oriented programming
  • backend and web development
  • Git, shell, Makefiles and debugging workflows

Background

Audio engineer, musician, and former broadcast support technician — now transitioning into software engineering through 42 Paris.

My long-term goal is to connect strong software engineering foundations with the technical worlds I already know: audio, media production, broadcast systems, infrastructure, and tools for creators.
