These commands should be used to handle hotfixes.
hotfix start MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH should create branch hotfix/MAJOR.MINOR.(PATCH+1) and bump a new version string there. The branch will be then used to implement the hotfix.
hotfix deploy MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH will close the relevant branch by merging into the stable branch. The developer will be then notified that they should make sure to bring the hotfix changes onto trunk as well since hotfix commands are not handling that...
