Hi, and thanks for maintaining irdb.
The license asks anyone using the database to open an issue about their product, so here it is.
tvbox is a free, open-source (MIT) Fire TV-style launcher for the Raspberry Pi 5:
https://github.com/Andy1210/tvbox
One of its features helps people restore volume, mute and power control to their remote by looking up their TV's IR codes. It pulls the codesets from irdb over the network (the raw files under codes/<brand>/TV/) and caches them on the device. The database is not redistributed inside the repo.
The attribution notice from the license is shown in the app's About screen and in the setup flow:
"Contains/accesses irdb by Simon Peter and contributors, used under permission. For licensing details and for information on how to contribute to the database, see https://github.com/probonopd/irdb"
It's a non-commercial hobby project. Happy to change anything if you'd prefer it handled differently, and thanks again for the work that goes into this database.
