QField crashes when typing >= 3 characters in the search bar on iOS

What is the bug or the crash? What were your expectations and what actually happened?

Hello QField users. I have found an issue that QField crashes when I use the search bar. More specific after I type in the third number for letter. Does anyone experience the same issue?

It happens with all devises but only in one project!

I add a video for demonstration.

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Go to search bar
2. type in 3 characters
3. crach
4. on all devises iOS and Android

4.2.4-Coral sea

Operating system name

iOS

Operating system version

iOS 26.6.1

Reinstall QField

• I have a fresh install of the latest QField version, but the problem persists.
• Problem can be reliably reproduced, doesn't happen randomly.
• Problem happens with all files and projects, not only some files or projects.

Actually I see your version is old, could you give it a try with the latest 4.2?

If it still crashes, I'd need the actual project compressed in a zip file.

Sorry I was wrong in the discription. the qfield version is 4.2.4 Coral sea.

@ThomasDV1984 , what would help is to try against a fresh new installation of QField, and make sure no plugins are loaded (I see from your screen cast that you have a few running).
