What is the bug or the crash? What were your expectations and what actually happened?
When displaying a standard label, QField uses custom font set in QGis or else default font from the device.
When displaying a font marker, QField acts like no default font is recognized.
When no font is recognized, letters appears with some symmetrical difference effect with holes.
QField shoud use default fonts available in the device instead of "no font" as it does for standard labelling.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Create a point layer (or other kind of layer with a point geometry generator) with a marker font symbology (geometry generator).
Apply a big size on marker to be able to see the effect more easily.
Avoid stroke that could mask the effect.
Version
4.2.11 Coral Sea (f7123fc)
Operating system name
Android
Operating system version
Android 16
Reinstall QField
Additional context
When using QField on Windows, installed fonts are recognized and marker fonts are well displayed.
I have not tried to install custom font in QField folder. Installed fonts from the device should be recognized anyway.
