"Notes and Stuff by Relays" update to README.md#202
Conversation
Likely to go unnoticed, a change to aid branding that is consistent with the long standing descriptor of the purpose and makeup of the protocol. If this change is noticed, it's likely to be appreciated, because it can help more clearly and succinctly convey what the protocol is. The abbreviation still works NOSTR is made up of the following capitals: "NOtes and STuff on Relays". Still in sequence and with appropriate emphasis. So we still call it Nostr. We still know it's abbreviated. We still know it's a protocol with notes and stuff and relays. And we still know it's what we've always used. It's just now easier to tie to a tagline that is just as descriptive without such a long sentence. This will be helpful for newly onboarded users and for when referenced in content and media.

Regardless, of how long it's been the other way, the change is likely to aid in branding, discussion by non-nostriches, ease of introductions to new users, etc. Worth a pull, if you ask me. Not too many materials out there that'll be adversely impacted by this change. Even if uneditable materials out there refer to the old descriptor they will be accurate enough to not cause confusion. But all newer materials can take advantage of the clearer, more concise descriptor. My npub: npub1gkgyk28lurjuhyfjlxsga9mw6lc0c47c8pmcr65usre9d3qjcx6q9cyk5m |

Sorry, I forgot to answer, but I don't think we should change it. Even if it's a better name. I think you can refer to Nostr using any name or meaning you want, you don't even have to call it Nostr. This repo is just one way among others to refer to Nostr. |

The broadcasting / transmitted by is a core essential of the protocol, so let's keep that in the name 🤙🏻 |

I can see the 'by' being valuable to denote that the relays are not just hosting servers, but are actually relayers of content, reinforcing that the content is mobile, decentralized, and the important component. And the less important relays are merely temporary carriers, communicators and facilitators of the all-important content itself. Flipped it to 'Notes and Stuff by Relays'. Great talk guys. Let's roll this in. :) |

NOSTR's future is all about the "other stuff" and "transmitted" is essential to understanding how the protocol works. If we need better branding, I don't think this is the solution. |

I'll just leave this pull request here for you. Enjoy.
(I created this once before, but fiatjaf said thanks but no thanks so I deleted it. But, I'm throwing this back out there and will leave it because I think there's merit.)
