Purpose
Replace the Meta-Scraper VS Code extension with Lucci Pay, a new ChatGPT payment-request app. Participating apps create a request, the buyer reviews the merchant and exact total, then confirms through ChatGPT’s native payment sheet. Apple Pay is requested as a supported method.
Changes
window.openai.requestCheckout/complete_checkoutintegration, with no external checkout fallback or embedded card-entry form.Platform constraints and pilot scope
This is a draft for a native-checkout pilot, not a launched universal payments service. OpenAI documents native checkout as a private beta for selected marketplaces. Its schema includes Apple Pay, but actual availability depends on the enabled host, PSP, account and device.
General commerce approval currently covers physical goods. The first API supports pre-priced physical-goods pickup orders; arbitrary plugin subscriptions, digital credits and service fees are not enabled. Other apps must integrate explicitly and establish a trusted payer-account mapping. No universal cross-plugin interception or automatic charging is claimed.
Real testing needs OpenAI/PSP enablement, registered merchants, an OAuth identity provider, and Stripe test credentials. Configuration flags do not grant access. See
