Thanks, @rudycelekli. The top-level case is a real mistake: a tab-indented fence line at the top level shouldn't hide the sections after it, and this fixes that, along with form-feed, vertical-tab and Unicode-space-led lines at the top level, which now follow CommonMark. Your 16 cases show it. One revision, to keep what main already gets right. Fences inside list items. Both readers scan lines without list context, and inside a list item a tab can be the item's continuation indent plus the fence indent, so CommonMark treats these as one code block. Main gets them right; this head doesn't. In the document below, Main gives CR before a fence marker. A lone CR left at the start of a line in a mixed-ending document is a line boundary in CommonMark, not indentation. Main matches that; this head now exposes the code's heading or hides a real one. Please keep main's behaviour there. Ordinary CRLF endings are unaffected either way. File mode. Description. Please say that top-level form-feed, vertical-tab and Unicode-space-led fence lines change meaning, since main treated them as fences. This isn't a request for full CommonMark support, and it adds no new refusals or checks. If the fix starts needing much more parser machinery than that, or you'd rather not take it on, tell us here and we'll decide together. |

The initial space-only patch regressed your list examples. I prepared a list-continuation candidate on a separate qualification branch, restored executable mode I am holding the PR branch update: final preflight found another valid preservation case in both readers. In this document the closing fence starts with a literal tab: ## Actual
- item
lazy continuation
```md
## Example
```
## Next
reachableMain returns Following your request to discuss expanding parser machinery, this now needs paragraph context beyond an indentation stack. I froze 48 lazy-continuation cases before any further correction: main passes all 48, while the candidate passes eight and fails 40 in Node probes of the actual module bytes. Another 64 frozen false-retention controls currently pass and cover blank-separated outside paragraphs, headings, thematic breaks and empty list items. The candidate already adds about 35 lines per reader; a reliable paragraph correction needs block-state classification rather than retaining the list stack for every text line. Would bounded list-paragraph tracking fit the intended scope here, or would you prefer that we agree on a parser approach separately? I will keep the current PR head unchanged until that tradeoff is resolved. |

[Codex] responding on behalf of rudycelekli Addressed in All eight canonical gates plus the native regression proof passed on that exact frozen source in run 38239730831. All 120 controls pass without skips, including twelve helper shebang executions; the prior production source and mode fail 69 controls. Actual TypeScript 5.9.3 and canonical typechecks also pass. The workflow stays on a separate fork validation branch. |

What a user gets
The daemon markdown resolver and bundled executable helper agree on tab-indented fenced code inside the supported simple list continuation context. Mixed two-space/tab opener and closer indentation no longer exposes example headings or hides the next real section. Top-level tab-prefixed markers remain outside the permitted zero-to-three literal-space fence indentation.
Both scanners count four-column tab stops relative to the list content indentation and retain the opener's context through its closer. They discard list context on a dedented block or a new paragraph, and now on a dedented nonblank block after a closed list fence. Ordinary lazy paragraph continuation remains supported. The executable helper also rejects backticks in a backtick opener's info string, matching the daemon. Authored markdown bytes and section spans remain intact.
Lone CR boundaries before a fence marker retain their previous recognition; LF and CRLF cases are covered. Form-feed, vertical-tab and Unicode-space prefixes remain outside the literal-space fence indentation rule. The helper is executable (
100755) again, and its generated skill digest is updated.This is bounded support for the reported simple-list cases, not complete CommonMark container parsing.
How verified
Exact source
fba563180d6b81cab27ffdef85a6c6b7438f3e8epassed all eight canonical jobs plus the dedicated native before/after proof in Tests run 38243915818. The verification workflow is confined to a separate fork branch and pins the clean source in every job.All 138 Vitest controls passed with zero skips, including both actual readers, backtick/tilde fences, tab and mixed indentation, LF/CRLF, lone CR boundaries, later-section reachability, discarded list context, ordinary lazy continuation, and twelve actual helper shebang executions. The latest eighteen controls cover both new review findings and their healthy controls. Overlaying prior production
12c010ceproduced nine failing controls and 129 passes; restoring the candidate passed all 138. In the earlier round, prior production2b2f4056and its old file mode produced 69 failures and 51 passes among the original 120 controls.Actual TypeScript 5.9.3 strict compilation and the canonical all-workspace typecheck passed. Full gates passed: build/package, typechecks, repository checks, daemon/CLI/TUI/UI suites, and the installed-package scenario. Optional full-suite skips remain visible in logs. These fixture results do not establish full CommonMark support or maintainer acceptance. Upstream checks remain separate.
