I'm Mathieu, a Senior Product Manager at GitGuardian, based in Rennes, France. I build products and write code.
I believe agents and LLMs are the future of how people interact with data and software. We’ll increasingly describe what we want to understand or accomplish, and work with agents that can find the relevant information and act on it. That has consequences for how we design products, expose data, and build tools. I think we should be putting serious work into this, and it’s where I’m focusing much of my own.
At GitGuardian, that means bringing secret detection and remediation into coding assistants through Agent Skills and MCP. The goal is to help developers find exposed credentials, understand the risk, and fix the problem where they already work. The technical work involves reusable skills, APIs, and CLI tools like ggshield, along with evaluations and permissions. I also build PoCs, contribute MRs, and ship side apps to test ideas and get them into users’ hands faster.
I’m building a personal product management assistant that applies the same ideas to my daily work. It combines a Markdown knowledge base with reusable skills and specialized agents connected to tools like Linear, Notion, and Snowflake. It helps me bring together customer interviews, meeting notes, and product data to challenge assumptions, draft PRDs, and track follow-up work. The knowledge accumulates as I use it, with conclusions linked back to their sources, so I can revisit a decision and understand what informed it.
I’m also building Bento, an agentic development environment. It’s where I’m exploring what a development workspace should look like when collaborating with coding agents becomes a central part of how we build software.
Before GitGuardian, I worked at Sekoia.io and Livestorm. I also founded Pilot.pm, a content collaboration platform for marketing and legal teams. I spent a decade building it with Python, Django, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL, then open-sourced the code after closing the company.
