Summary

The initial scaffold (#1) copied only ci.yml from af-credentials. Publishing the v0.1.0 GitHub release therefore did nothing, and docs, the Python version matrix and pylint were missing too. This restores parity with af-credentials:

  • cd.yml (copied verbatim):
    • builds and inspects the package on every push and PR
    • on a published GitHub release, publishes to PyPI through trusted publishing, with build provenance attestation (environment: pypi)
  • Docs: docs.yml, zensical.toml, lychee.toml and .readthedocs.yaml, plus docs/index.md and docs/contributing.md. These pull README sections in through snippet markers. The README also gets the badges.
  • Build parity:
    • test environments py311 to py314 with Codecov upload in CI
    • pylint (10/10)
    • build / build-check tasks, and the docs dependency group for Read the Docs
  • Minimum Python raised to 3.11. af-credentials' conda-forge package requires 3.11+, so a 3.10 environment can't be solved. Claiming 3.10 support would be untested. This brings ruff's datetime.UTC upgrades with it.
  • README: pip install af-credmon is now an install option.
  • The setup-pixi pin dependabot bumped in chore(deps): Bump prefix-dev/setup-pixi from 0.10.1 to 0.10.2 in the github-actions group #2 (v0.10.2) is kept, not downgraded to af-credentials' v0.10.1.

Needs repo/PyPI setup before publishing

  • PyPI: add a pending trusted publisher for project af-credmon:
    • owner maniaclab, repo af-credmon
    • workflow cd.yml, environment pypi
  • Read the Docs: import the project, if docs should live there as for af-credentials.
  • GitHub Pages: enable Pages with source "GitHub Actions", for docs.yml's deploy job.
  • Codecov: add the CODECOV_TOKEN secret, as in af-credentials.

Test plan

  • pixi run -e py311|py312|py313|py314 test-all: 43 passed on each
  • pixi run -e dev pylint af_credmon (10.00/10), typecheck, prek run --all-files
  • pixi run -e docs check-docstrings, docs-build, docs-linkcheck
  • pixi run -e dev build-check: sdist and wheel pass twine check --strict

The initial scaffold copied only ci.yml, so publishing the v0.1.0
release did nothing. Restores, as in af-credentials:
- cd.yml: build-and-inspect on every push/PR, trusted publishing to PyPI
with build provenance attestation on a published GitHub release
- docs.yml + zensical.toml + lychee.toml + .readthedocs.yaml: docstring
check, link check, zensical build, GitHub Pages and Read the Docs
- docs/ pages that pull README sections in via snippet markers, and the
  README badges

Per-Python test environments (py311-py314) with Codecov upload in CI,
pylint, and build/twine tasks, as in af-credentials.

Minimum Python is now 3.11: af-credentials' conda-forge package requires
3.11+, so a 3.10 environment cannot be solved and 3.10 support would be
an untested claim. Applies ruff's resulting datetime.UTC upgrades.
