Post-mortem on losing the Pavo20 Pro II to the Baltic Sea at dusk.

Covers:

  • Two-ray multipath over water (link died at 0 m, restored at 75 m)
  • 49 % telemetry blackout that silenced every EdgeTX logical-switch callout
  • Measured flight numbers: 126 mAh/km outbound, 183 mAh/km return (1.45×), 623 m past PNR at link restore
  • 11-row callout hardening strategy table with design intent

No Lua code — implementation is the follow-up.

…Ah pack; 231 mAh remaining, PNR 1147 m, 799 m past it
Fixes real language defects, not just style:
- 'pastipramas vėjas' (not a Lithuanian word, used 3x) -> pavėjys / priešvėjis
- 'ant celės' (Russianism calque) -> V vienai celei
- 'grąžos taškas' (= monetary change) -> negrįžimo taškas
- 'specifinė galia/greitis' -> savitoji galia / savitasis greitis (physics term)
- 'kabinimas' (= hanging up) -> kybojimas (hover)
- typos: nuskysti -> nuskristi, nekartojandam -> nepakartoti
- 'apvalus reisas', 'Smagu paklausti', 'pozicija atkurta spėjimu' rewritten
- 'Impedansas' -> vidinė varža; 'aliarmas' -> pavojaus signalas
- title agreement: Prarasta -> Prarastas (dronas is masculine)
- 'leidžiantis' (aircraft descending) -> 'įtampai krentant' (voltage falling)
- chart titles, axis labels and dataset legends translated to Lithuanian
- em-dashes 11 -> 0; % spacing normalised; Lithuanian quotes „...“
- synced two sentences that existed only in EN (235 m RF alarm; multipath note)
- 'prieš 55 km/h' -> 'palyginti su' ('prieš' does not mean 'versus' in LT)
- 'sąlygotas' -> 'veikia tik įjungus' (calque VLKK discourages)
- 'prieš priešvėjį' -> 'prieš vėją' (was literally 'against the against-wind')
- 'tomis 139 sekundėmis' -> 'per tas 139 sekundes' (wrong case for duration)
- 'RF pavojaus signalo nebuvo sukonfigūruota' -> nominative + participle (x2)
- 'rodė 555 mAh sunaudotų' -> 'rodė, kad sunaudota 555 mAh'
- 'Pakilus ta kompensacija suyra' -> dangling participle fixed
- grazing incidence: 'beveik slystančiu kritimo kampu' -> 'esant beveik slystančiam kritimo kampui'
- 'atsirado' -> 'atsistatė' (consistent with the table)
- repeated 'ir' in opening sentence restructured
- 'neužfiksavau/Užfiksavau' -> 'neįvertinau/Įvertinau' (keeps the pivot repetition)
Density was 6.9 per 1000 prose words, above the ~3-4 target.
Safe remedy applied: em-dash + lowercase -> comma. Paired dashes in
the OSD-screenshot sentence became appositive commas. Table row
'"tolow" — climb' -> '"tolow", meaning climb' to match the LT wording.
- 'Aktyvuojama (arm)' -> 'Aktyvavimas (arm)': passive participle had no antecedent
- ', palyginti su 55 km/h' -> ' palyginti su 55 km/h': stray comma removed
- 'ir tada, kai telemetrijos nėra' -> 'net tada, kai': 'ir' (and) replaced by 'net' (even)
- 'ir likę 34 % SoC' -> 'ir liko 34 % SoC': dangling nominative absolute -> proper past verb
The Pavo20 learned to dive. The telemetry did not.

- Title reframed from "Lost in the Baltic" to "Sunset Dive at Olando Kepurė:
What the Telemetry Says" — reads like a leisure dive post, subtitle does
  the rest
- Description updated: "unplanned dive" replaces "ended on the sea floor"
- Location added to The Decision section: Baltic at Olando Kepurė
- Ending swapped: "The Pavo20 learned to dive. The telemetry did not."
- LT: "Saulėlydžio nardymas prie Olando Kepurės: ką sako telemetrija"
- LT ending: "Pavo20 išmoko nardyti. Telemetrija — ne."
- Keywords updated: olando kepurė, karkle coast/pakrantė added
EN: 'Still need a cinewooping daily driver. Pavo20 4S or DeepSpace Stellar25.
Can't decide which one gets the next swimming lesson.'
LT: 'Kasdienio cinewoopinio drono vis dar ieškau. Pavo20 4S ar DeepSpace
Stellar25. Dar nežinau, kuriam teks sekanti plaukimo pamoka. Vat taip vat...'
Subtitle reframed from dry summary to ironic enthusiasm.
"Sunset Dive at Olando Kepurė: What I Love About Telemetry Recording
on Your Remote" — reads like a gear-enthusiasm post; the article is a
post-mortem. Three layers of subverted expectations in one title.

LT: "...už ką myliu telemetriją tavo radijuje"
'myliu' is reserved for people/deep attachment in Lithuanian.
'tavo' addressed the reader; this is Andrius's own radio.
New flow in both languages:
- Open with GPS trajectory chart + 2 neutral lines (no spoiler)
- The Decision (unchanged)
- The Flight: prose + consumption + current charts (moved here)
- The Blackout: 17mW / T antenna / LOS framing, then RSSI chart,
then two-ray multipath explanation, then timeline, then lowbat.jpg
- Why the Battery Drained So Fast: Capa counter story + LAVA II
misconfig + PNR calculation + rth callout (all absorbed here)
+ reveal: 'The return leg ends where it ends.' + landnow + lastframe
- What I Am Changing: table + ending lines

'What the Telemetry Shows' section removed; charts distributed
into the sections where they are actually discussed.
EN: "Pavo20 and the Sunset Dive"
LT: "Pavo20 ir nardymas saulėlydyje"

Product name leads, action follows, subtitle dropped.
~26 chars, well under the ~60 char display limit.
