hi @ImMnan 👋
Good contribution overall—I agree we should update for Helm 4 and avoid deprecated flags.
There are a couple of issues though: the inconsistency of having --force-replace for upgrade but not install, and no clear criteria for adding flags like --rollback-on-failure.
More broadly, this cheatsheet page is hard to maintain—it’s not auto-generated, gets outdated quickly, and has an inconsistent scope. We’re also considering removing it entirely.
Given it already has a Helm 4 update notice, I’d suggest we avoid expanding it for now. Instead, focus on:
- Not adding new commands (so remove
--rollback-on-failure) - Only adding flags if needed for consistency (add
--force-replacetoinstall) - Updating all existing commands/flags for Helm 4 (run
helm help COMMANDand check) - Removing deprecated flags
- Then removing the notice
This keeps it accurate while we decide its future.

Updated Helm command options to reflect changes in Helm V4, replacing/mentioning deprecated flags with new ones.
