.tra translation file not found?

I'm trying out Beyond The Edge of Owlsgard and it doesn't seem to recognize the English translation file, despite me selecting it for upload.

Hey, can you load the Developer Console in the browser, and then in it, type FS.readdir('/'), and give me the output? It should give a list of files and directories like  ['.', '..', 'tmp', 'home', 'dev', 'proc', YOUR_FILES_HERE , ...]

I don't have that game, but I made one quickly in ags, and then set the translation to use in acsetup.cfg and it worked here. If possible also tell me what you have written in the line of the acsetup.cfg that is like below

translation=Test

In Google Chrome the Developer Tools is under the More tools -> Developer tools menu entry. I think shortcuts for invoking the developer console (like ctrl+shift+j) won't work in the AGS window because I am hijacking the keyboard keys.

acsetup.cfg contains translation= ie the field is empty. Owlsgard on launch asks the user to select regionality.

Hey, my guess is the game would be calling Game.ChangeTranslation("English"); internally, so it would find it - I made a test game that does this here and it works.

So there is something else for this to happen, because you are getting the error here

I can't tell why right away, I would need to grab this game later to try to figure it out exactly what is going on.

Out of curiosity, does setting translation=English in the field of acsetup.cfg makes it work somehow? The only issue is that then picking up the voice pack correctly would depend on the game dev doing the proper code to support configuration from acsetup.cfg, since the voice pack change is a manual script command in ags, it is not internally tied to translation,

I need to sleep now, but I will look into this tomorrow, but it will probably take a while.

If I make a new empty acsetup.cfg containing only a [language] section, then it sets the translation during boot, but outputs the error when I select the language in the interface at 01:16:14 below.
