Hi, I'm Ebuzer Celil Durmaz 👋

I'm a second-year Computer Science student at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. I like working on open source desktop and backup tooling.

Contributions

21 merged PRs across the Borg backup ecosystem:

  • Vorta (18 merged): a scheduler refactor, a Jobs page and table model migrations

  • borgmatic (1 merged): an OpenLDAP data source hook

  • Borg (2 merged): --json output for borg prune and a fix for archive cwd metadata

Most of the Vorta and borgmatic work was done as a Google Summer of Code 2026 contributor with the Python Software Foundation (work product).
