Summary

Getting a DAR onto every participant that hosts a party is done by hand today, node by node, over chat, and a missed node fails silently, because Canton propagates vetting metadata but never the package itself. CantonVet is an open-source service (Rust, Apache-2.0) run by a validator operator: a developer publishes once with scoped credentials, automated checks run, the operator approves in one place, and the service uploads and vets on every participant hosting the relevant parties, reports drift, and offers an on-demand pre-flight that tells an application whether a command will interpret on every host. It delivers the approval, installation and upgrading that RFP 3 asks for, and consumes the funded metadata, provenance and analysis work rather than repeating it.

@kevmuko, thank you for your interest in the Canton Development Fund!

Your proposal needs a valid Champion. The champion field is either empty, contains placeholder text, or names an organization that is not a valid champion.

Per CIP-0100, all external proposals require a Tech & Ops Committee champion.

Next steps:

  1. Identify Someone willing to champion your proposal
  2. Update the Champion field with their name
  3. Reopen this PR

If you need help finding a champion, reach out to SIGs (https://github.com/canton-foundation/canton-dev-fund/blob/main/sig-directory.md).

This PR is being closed automatically. You are welcome to reopen it once a champion is confirmed.
