not sure how otherwise it was intended to work -- probably just some side effect on ci later saw uv header with requirements... but I think docs just suggest running it and there are requirements.txt ... duplication is evil!

I see inline requirements as a much better tool than a shared requirements.txt across scripts.

for some use cases -- yes, in particular for 'one off' and when such use is documented appropriately. but for "work environments", per script depends -- also duplication and thus evil ;)
