Green 'marker' (0,0) ist not visible when origin= top-right and 0,0 #625
Thanks for the clear report and screenshots — I can reproduce this on my end.
I've looked into it: the little green origin symbol is drawn with its arrows in a fixed direction, and that direction is only correct for the default bottom-left origin. When you switch the machine origin to the top-right corner, the arrows end up pointing away from the work area instead of into it. Because the symbol sits exactly on the corner at 0,0, the whole thing is then drawn outside the visible work area — which is why you see nothing at all. When you nudge it slightly (as in your first screenshot), a small part of it falls back inside the work area, which is why a tiny fragment becomes visible.
So the marker isn't really "gone", it's just drawn in the wrong direction and mostly outside the area you're looking at.
I agree that a small cross or dot at the zero point would be a more robust solution than the current arrow symbol — a dot is visible regardless of which corner the origin is in, and I'd also make the lines a bit thicker since the current ones are very thin and easy to miss. I'll rework the symbol so it always points into the work area and always keeps at least the zero point itself visible, no matter which corner is configured. I can't promise a date, but this is a small, self-contained change so it should land in one of the next releases.
Actually, I see the green marker IS visible in your screenshot on close inspection. It is just barely visible, either partially obscured by the red frame or mixed with the red frame color due to transparency settings. So my previous response was plain wrong.

PR #628 makes this more visible.
fix(canvas): draw the WCS marker as arrows above the extent frame
