For RDP sessions, Guacamole will by default only prompt for missing credentials,
if the connection security type does not allow a graphical session to be
established without providing credentials. This is true for connections using
NLA, for example. In such a case, Guacamole will present a web form for the user
to provide their credentials. Otherwise, Guacamole will establish a graphical
session and allow the user to enter their credentials through the graphical
session instead.

If this is not desired, the setting "Prompt for credentials in browser form"
may be set on the connection. This will make Guacamole prompt for missing
credentials using this browser form, irrespective of the security method
used.
