I added a template of my debian environment with an additional rule-generator gen-rules-sh.
This approach is quite fast without the bottleneck of adding rules live one by one which takes a lot of time ...
It is Makefile-driven. Cron update and statistics (just a history of the rule counters) is optional.
However, it does not change anything on the base package.
Maybe it is valuable to be taken into consideration and useful for Debian folks.
