👋 Hey, I'm Samir

I'm a Computer Science student at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal) with a strong interest in systems programming, computer architecture, backend development, and robotics.

I enjoy understanding how software works beneath the surface, whether that's implementing a custom memory allocator in C, designing a relational database for a banking application, or exploring how hardware and software work together.

I'm currently focused on building projects that challenge me to understand the "why" behind the technology, not just how to use it. Lately that has meant exploring operating systems, computer architecture, and low-level software, while gradually working my way toward embedded systems and robotics.

Outside of coursework, I enjoy taking on ambitious projects simply because they seem like a good excuse to learn something new.
