Don't keep me online

When the add-on is enabled I appear as online in Facebook. Is there a way to prevent this and appear offline until I actually open Facebook or Messenger?

Hm, how did you test it? I'm using extension in Opera and can't reproduce your behavior. It doesn't show me as online. During testing I even received notification, but I still wasn't online. Tested on friend's mobile - both my Facebook and Messenger status (minutes from active state).

My friends were telling me that I'm online when I wasn't. I disabled the add-on and after few moments friend said I became offline. I use Waterfox.

Strange. Maybe it was something else? E.g., when you're active on Messenger (even if it's just open), you're shown as online in Facebook too. Unfortunately I can't say anything about Waterfox as I never tested extension there.

Well being on Messenger or Facebook makes me online, but they were closed at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised to be online having them opened. They were closed, so it's weird. And Waterfox is basically a Firefox (in version 68).

Hm, Facebook is strange. Last time I opened Messenger on mobile, I became active (online), I was still shown as active on my friend's Messenger and Facebook, even though my mobile screen was off, then I also closed Messenger. Then I disabled extensions and still was online for some time on my Friend's mobile =D Then I enabled extension, but nothing changed. I became inactive after some time anyway. So I doubt it's related to extension.

I've test it again. I closed Messenger and still was online. I disabled add-on and after few minutes I became offline. Then I enabled the add-on again and I immediately became online again.

Maybe before it would be fix an option to manually turn it off and on quickly from the context menu of toolbar button. It would change an icon when offline. That would be a better work around then disabling and enabling add-on in add-on's manager.

BTW, are you somehow installing this from Firefox extensions site or directly from here in some type of Developer mode?

From Firefox extensions site, though I use Waterfox so I can install it from here too I guess.

Sorry that I still haven't implemented it =D
Need it myself from time to time to focus on some tasks.
Today used Opera's Unpin extension feature. Maybe ~Firefox has it too?

I guess it doesn't make you offline on Facebook, but at least you don't see any notifications from extension.
