This is a research task, i tentatively assign this to the upcoming milestone (which will make it exempt from going stale).
I agree this is something we will investigate. 14 days into 2021 is not a lot of time, so it's a high probability of this task being punted to the next milestone.

We should look into encrypting customer data.

We should look into encrypting customer data, so they cannot be directly accessed without a decryption key.
