Sometimes when using multiple plugins you might an error similar to the following:
In CurlDownloader.php line 390:
curl error 28 while downloading https://plugins.matomo.org/api/2.0/plugins/
FooPlugin/download/5.0.0: Connection timed out after 18320 milliseconds
It seems like is caused by concurrent downloads and low Matomo API limits. As a stop-gap, dial down the amount of concurrent downloads allowed by Composer using the COMPOSER_MAX_PARALLEL_HTTP environment variable.
Ideally we'd be able to space out the downloads specifically for these extensions to avoid limits, or possibly just respect whatever timing headers might be coming back from Matomo. An alternative is to set up and host a proxy of some kind that can avoid limits via aggressive caching, though I'm not sure that would be workable for paid Matomo plugins.
