Notes end too soon

[ohno-ourtable]

Notes seem to end too soon and get cut off. They don't even get a chance to fade out. Here are system info: https://pastebin.com/qRRmaveE

Here is what it sounds like when played through wildmidi

kisargi.mp4

Here is what it is supposed to sound like:

kisargi.supposed.mp4

The midi isn't a black midi either, just a standard piano cover.

Sorry for bad english, I rushed this post because I accidentally closed everything and I am too angry to redo it

@ohno-ourtable How did you play back the midi on wildmidi, with what patch set? For the ksargi.supposed.mp4, how did you play this back, with what other software or patchset?

I can repro this with my build 2af3407 in Visual Studio and using https://github.com/feross/freepats.

I tried some .XMI files from The Elder Scrolls: Arena. They were extracted from GLOBAL.BSA using ArenaSuite01e.zip from https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Files#Misc_Utilities.

Playing with wildmidi.exe in command prompt:

• ARABCITY.XMI: the last note (symbol?) is very short making the ending cut off
• OVERSNOW.XMI: the rhythm has consistently very short notes for the first 53s
• SNEAKING.XMI: the pizzicato is very short

I exported .WAVs like this:

wildmidi.exe -g 0 OVERSNOW.XMI -x OVERSNOW.MID
wildmidi.exe OVERSNOW.MID -o OVERSNOW.WAV

Attached: xmi.zip

The .MID files open in Windows Media Player and sound identical to the game in DOSBox, which is General MIDI I guess.

@afritz1 @ohno-ourtable can you please use #280 to validate if the problem is resolved?

It's a big improvement, thank you! I'd rather have what's in that PR.
