[Feature Request]: receive world-wide GGC addresses (rather than local)

I am working under VPN on a router level. The youtube works good in browser on a device but could not receive CDN traffic in Smarttube on the same device. I see different CDN addresses for the same video in a browser and in a smarttube. Thus, I understand that smarttube receives different CDN address which is not routed through VPN (and thus doesn't work because of googlevideo traffic slowdown in certain countries) or which is routed through VPN but with local CDN addresses (which are closed).

Switcher allowing to select CDN-nodes either as for Web Browser or as TVHTML5

Describe alternatives you've considered

I have no alternatives. The only alternative is stop using Smarttube :(

Hi, thanks for posting this. It's been a known issue since the beginning of development. Let's clear the things up. The app networking has been separated among two parts: first one - the video info fetching (OkHttp engine) and the actual playback (Cronet engine). The solution depends where exactly we observe the bug. Let's start from the first part. Could you tell me how cdn working in browsing subs, history, search etc? It's okhttp part.

I suppose the official app uses either ipv4 preference or embedded google dns. I've tried to address the both with these options Settings/Player/Dev. options/Prefer ipv4 and Google dns. Never tested them in reality.
