I didn't run through the source code, but I'm wondering if it's possible to build and use this library in an UEFI environment. Since README mentions bare-metal, I think it should be almost possible. I'm not talking about gnu-efi and such for building, theкe are just general thoughts on this.

This is a nice idea and it's certainly possible.
It seems that UEFI exposes SNP to latch to layer2 frame exchange, so anchoring to network devices should be the easy part.

The way I would build it would be as permanent binding "driver" so applications can pre-load like load libwolfip.efi and use as efi protocol calls.

For sockets: were you thinking of reusing existing applications via EFI service bindings (Configure()/Connect()/Receive()), or were you thinking BSD calls? I think even blocking calls would be possible by running wolfIP_poll() in a timer and relying on TPL.

Why not gnuefi? I am not familiar with other toolchains for building efi binaries.

Perhaps let us know what your final goal is, so we can better understand the interfaces, but I'd definitely consider this feature request.
