@brillout don't get me wrong, VanJS doesn't have anything like streaming or islands, I'm only trying to say that for these templates instead of rendering/hydrating everything inside a root element, we split the content into 3 main parts, each can be rendered and/or hydrated separately, depending on the application state. It's an "islands" like content state, but not in the sense how Astro works.

I'm going to look into your site some time later and will PR some pages updates with VanJS. I hope I can get your feedback on the current templates and what we can do/adapt for your repository examples folder.

What we can do is that you fully own vike.dev/van and you can put whatever content you want in there. It can just be a set of links and/or also some notes about integrating VanJS <-> Vike.

@thednp Thank you for the mention! I’d like to suggest adding some additional templates. It would be even better if they were organized within a folder named extra.

These templates will depend on van-wrapper addon, which is designed to integrate VanJS with React, Svelte, Solid, or Vue applications—and vice versa.

If you like the idea, I can start preparing the templates.

TBH I like the idea and the van-wrapper is interesting.

I think it serves a small niche, due to its experimental nature and real world usage; in reality even Astro devs admit nobody uses this tech, there is no reason to have a starter template that helps very few or create more confusion than we already have (I'm talking about react ofc).

But please feel free to fork the templates you like, add them into your own repo, send me the link to it and I will gladly link it in the README (or make a PR).

I'm considering creating an experimental template to include stuff like trpc/tanstack/server-functions, user login/sessions, etc; but that's gonna come in some time.

V0.1.0 update:

• added routing/file-system routing templates for both Node and Deno
• added SSR templates for Deno
• all templates have a README for a smooth quickstart
• MANY fixes and improvements
• after scaffolding your VanJS app, your app's package.json will be updated to use your chosen package manager; for instance you run bun create vanjs@latest, your package.json scripts will use bun (EG: bun run dev) @Tao-VanJS this is for you
