I don't know if you know my home automation history. But i get warms for all this stuff.

I have some hue bulbs at my rental house. I'll give this a go sometime!

Agreed - very cool! I have Hue lights throughtout my house (and various accessories), but have never gotten around to trying to sync with music or movie sound. I will try this out.

There is a current known issue where the sensitivity drops off dramatically as the pc audio volume goes below ~85% due to the fact that the audio is captured after the Windows mixer. I'm looking at ways to get the audio at a lower level, which I also need in order to make this cross-platform with Linux.
So for the moment, I'd recommend putting your pc audio to at least 90%.
