v1.0.0-rc.1: public release surface (docs + CHANGELOG)
Root release docs: - README.md: B2-lead narrative (pluggable cardinality correction framework) with honest 1.038× geomean disclosure; quickstart and empirical-rigor sections. - CHANGELOG.md: rc.1 cut with WAVE4-F real measurement, WAVE5-L2 TabPFN 2.5 PASS, WAVE5-E L4 v3 recovery, WAVE5-G BCa on 7/10 metric items, WAVE5-N LLM-pluggable corrector. v1.0.0-rc.0 preserved as never-tagged baseline for audit-trail purposes. - CONTRIBUTING.md, SECURITY.md (GHSA-only intake, adversarial-input invariants, allocator-DoS guard, 7 fuzz targets + 4 sanitizer matrices). - CITATION.cff (Hollmann ICLR 2023, Moerkotte VLDB 2009, Leis VLDB 2015, Efron-Tibshirani 1993, Cormode-Muthukrishnan 2005, Flajolet 2007 et al.); CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md (Contributor Covenant v2.1 by reference); LICENSE-MIT (Apache-2.0 OR MIT dual-license); REPRODUCIBILITY.md (ACM AE v1.1 protocol). - docs/SEMVER.md: public-surface table covering trait surfaces, crate roots, cargo features, Puffin wire format, LLM/TabPFN server wire contracts, CLI args, sketch on-disk encoding, env vars, MSRV. Per-crate READMEs refreshed for all 11 publishable workspace crates. .github issue + PR templates aligned with v1.0 conventions. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

abstract: >
5+
samkhya is the engine-agnostic Rust SDK for feedback-driven cardinality
6+
correction in embedded analytical engines. It provides a pluggable
7+
`Corrector` trait (GBT default, TabPFN-2.5 opt-in, LLM TODO), an
8+
`LpJoinBound` pessimistic envelope (strict-tighter than AGM by 40.95×

on star-5 join topologies, p<10⁻⁵), portable Iceberg Puffin sidecars

for five classical sketches (HLL, Bloom, Count-Min, equi-depth
11+
histogram, 2D correlated histogram), and adapters into DataFusion,
12+
DuckDB, Polars, Postgres, Iceberg, Arrow, and Python.

# Code of Conduct
2+
3+
samkhya adopts version 2.1 of the **Contributor Covenant** as its
4+
community code of conduct. Read the full text here:
5+
6+
https://www.contributor-covenant.org/version/2/1/code_of_conduct/
7+
8+
A short summary: contributors, maintainers, and anyone else
9+
participating in this project — through issues, pull requests,
10+
discussions, code review, or any other channel — agree to treat each
11+
other with respect. Disagreement on technical decisions is welcome and
12+
expected; personal attacks, demeaning language, and conduct that makes
13+
participation hostile are not.
14+
15+
## Scope
16+
17+
This Code of Conduct applies in all project spaces (this repository,
18+
its issue tracker, its pull-request review threads, any associated
19+
chat) and when an individual is representing the project in public.
20+
21+
## Reporting
22+
23+
If you experience or witness behavior in a samkhya space that is
24+
inconsistent with the Contributor Covenant, report it to the
25+
maintainer via a private GitHub security advisory at:
26+
27+
https://github.com/singhpratech/samkhya/security/advisories/new
28+
29+
Reports are read by the maintainer only and treated confidentially.
30+
The maintainer will respond within a week of receipt.
31+
32+
## Enforcement
33+
34+
The maintainer follows the **Contributor Covenant v2.1 Enforcement
35+
Guidelines** when responding to reports. The four-step ladder
36+
(correction → warning → temporary ban → permanent ban) is documented
37+
in the linked covenant text.
38+
39+
## Attribution
40+
41+
This Code of Conduct is the Contributor Covenant version 2.1, used
42+
under its
43+
[Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
44+
