Phenotypes of type "Other"

Why are some phenotypes displayed as type "Other"?

The 2 phenotypes in this example are clearly cell-level phenotypes.

In the OBO file:
FYPO:0001125 normal vegetative cell shape
is_a:
FYPO:0000257 normal phenotype

Maybe it needs another parent? I think I remember this being a problem we discussed a few years ago. I don't remember the outcome.

We can manually configure FYPO:0001125 and FYPO:0001124 to appear in the cell phenotype section but I'd rather add a sensible parent term instead if we can.

For background, we have two lists of parent terms in the configuration, one for cell phenotype and one for population. We configure the parent terms for each group and then all annotation where the annotated term is a descendent is displayed in that section. The cell phenotype section parent terms is below. I don't understand why there are cell phenotype terms that aren't descendants of FYPO:0000002 "cell phenotype". I'd like to be able to configure just "FYPO:0000002" instead of this long list.

The configuration for population phenotype is much shorter but I don't know why FYPO:0001155 can't be a child of FYPO:0000003:

FYPO:0001155 "altered effect on growth medium" seems to be for phenotypes affecting the growth medium itself. It sounds like it should be of type "Other" since it isn't observed either a cell or a population of cells.

DO these terms have logical definitions. If so, the fact that this isn't working could account for the loss of parantage.
