HTML to Text does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.
HTML to Text is a Chrome extension that extracts plain text from the currently active webpage and copies it to the clipboard. All processing happens locally within the user's browser.
This extension:
- Does not collect personal information.
- Does not track browsing history.
- Does not use analytics or telemetry.
- Does not store extracted content.
- Does not send any data to external servers.
All text extraction and processing occur entirely on the user's device.
The extension requests the following permissions solely to provide its core functionality:
- activeTab – Allows access to the currently active tab when the user clicks the extension.
- scripting – Allows retrieval of the page HTML for text extraction.
- clipboardWrite – Allows copying the extracted text to the user's clipboard.
These permissions are only used when the user explicitly activates the extension.
This extension does not use any third-party services, APIs, or remote code.
Because all processing occurs locally and no data is transmitted externally, no user data is stored or shared.
If future versions of the extension introduce features that require changes to this privacy policy, it will be updated accordingly.
