I'm using Shortcuts on iOS 26.3 to dynamically change the tracking mode of ownTracks - basically "when I connect to my car, set tracking mode to 'move'; when I disconnet, set the tracking mode to 'significant'". It works really well - except for the fact that when I start using the car it takes about one to three minutes until ownTracks starts sending regular position updates.
I know that shortcuts support is somewhat in beta and undocumented and I fear that the answer is going to be "it's a problem with apps in iOS", but perhaps there is some bug somewhere or some trick I could use to have the iPhone immediately start sending position updates...
