Disclosure: I maintain Jev Social in the
socai-ioorganization.Jev Social is an open-source local app that turns one Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn research goal into bounded browser operations, streams captured posts and media, and produces a source-linked report.
How Jev fits:
socai CLIvalidates and executes it in the user's signed-in Chrome; Jev never writes shell commands or arbitrary DOM selectors.Run the pinned release:
The decision provider can be OpenRouter Jev or an explicitly configured, user-started loopback System One-compatible
/v1/systemoneservice. Browser execution still requires a currentsocai CLIand the relevant platform login. TikTok media download is offered only when the research goal explicitly asks for media.Evidence and source:
Current boundaries: three supported networks, read-only account behavior, explicit media intent, and reports grounded only in captured evidence. Published timings are individual recorded runs, not a benchmark or a general speed claim.
Feedback is welcome on the action boundaries, evidence retained between steps, and which additional read-only platform would be most useful.
