As well as "attributes" which here is assumed to be Unix file permissions (RWX for user, group, world) Windows has file attributes too, which have different meaning and numeric values (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/fileio/file-attribute-constants) There are also other fields in the file object which overlap with this and each other

What is the expected format for the value of
file.attributes? The description states: "The bitmask value that represents the file attributes". For a UNIX system, is it expected that the attributes like"0777"are transformed into an integer like777(base 8), or511(base 10)? It would be very helpful if the field description provided some examples, as it is not a simplestring_tfield.All reactions
