I was looking at other conversations on using libraries like meeus and peakfinder use and maybe including the elevation and obstructions of a given GPS coordinate to find when the first "ray of light" becomes visible of the astronomical dawn.
The use case is for a "one formula fits all" on Islamic prayer times where some calculators use 12, 15, 18, etc. degrees to determine this but often find accuracy wanting. There has been some discussion about how to determine this exact angle and other projects like http://www.openfajr.org have discussed this using cameras and eye sight. Can we find a way to calculate this accurately with SunCalc and other variables in a formula?
