Hi @rj10rd, there's no Outlook/Hotmail entry in the normal Add Account list on purpose: Microsoft has disabled basic (password) auth for Outlook.com, Hotmail, and most Microsoft 365 accounts, so a plain host + password login no longer works. That's also why the manual IMAP form blocks Microsoft servers.

Outlook/Microsoft accounts connect through OAuth2 instead, under Settings → Integrations → Microsoft 365 (not Add Account). It's a one-time setup. Both paths need a free Microsoft Entra app registration (at portal.azure.com) for a Client ID; when you register, choose "Accounts in any organizational directory and personal Microsoft accounts" so it covers both.

• Personal Outlook.com / Hotmail: in Integrations → Microsoft 365, enter just the Client ID and Tenant ID (leave Client Secret blank), save, then start the device-code flow. MailFlow shows a short code; enter it at https://microsoft.com/devicelogin to authorise.
• Work / school (Microsoft 365): also add a Client Secret and the redirect URI shown on that screen, save, then click "Connect Microsoft account".

It's a bit more setup than Gmail or iCloud, but it's Microsoft's requirement rather than a MailFlow limitation. The full steps are now in the README under "Microsoft 365 / Outlook (OAuth2)".

Sir,I tried this method also. Mailflow shows authentication succesful account added but it doesn't show any mail and when try to send a mail it says check your credentials.

What you're describing (the account is added, but no mail loads and sending reports a credentials error) means Microsoft accepted the sign-in and issued a token, but Outlook's IMAP and SMTP servers are then refusing it. To pin down why, the single most useful thing is the exact error.

On the failing account in MailFlow (Settings, next to the account) there should be a red warning with a sync error message. Could you paste that text here? That message is what tells me whether this is a permissions issue on the app registration or something at the account level.

While you grab that, the most common cause is worth trying: the Entra app registration may be missing the mail permissions. In the Azure portal (portal.azure.com), open your app registration, go to API permissions, and check whether these two delegated permissions are listed:

• IMAP.AccessAsUser.All
• SMTP.Send

If they aren't there: click Add a permission, choose the APIs my organization uses tab, search for and open Office 365 Exchange Online, select Delegated permissions, tick both of the above, and click Add permissions. Then remove the account in MailFlow and reconnect it so the new consent screen can grant them.

Two quick things to confirm as well:

• The app is registered for "Accounts in any organizational directory and personal Microsoft accounts."
• In MailFlow's Integrations tab, the Tenant ID is common.

If it still fails after that, the sync error text you paste will let me tell you exactly what Microsoft is objecting to.
