As demonstrated, the text gravitates to the top. I am using bash.

I'm not one of the maintainers, but it would probably help to know what is your Linux distribution, and how you got the binary. Did you compile it? Did you download it? From where? What is the version of the binary? It looks broken on Windows, but you can try --version to get the version.

I was having a similar issue, it was fine one day and broke the next. Looking back I realized I had upgraded putty.

I fixed this by disabling Settings > Terminal > Auto wrap mode initially on

Today the issue started happening again. I fixed by enabling the same auto wrap setting that was previously disabled as a fix.
