@csmustafakilic Thank you. Currently, the feature such as pre hooks doesn't exist. However I'm positive for implementing that. |

Hi everyone,
Our team is actively using the rulesync CLI to manage our internal skills and MCP configurations. It has been a great tool for unifying our workflows.
However, we’ve encountered a specific need: some of our MCP tools require global dependencies or environment setups before they can function correctly (e.g., running npm install -g ..., brew install npx, or setting up specific binaries).
Currently, we have to handle these prerequisites manually across the team, which defeats the purpose of a unified sync tool.
Proposal:
Is there an existing way, or could we implement a structure, to trigger these setup actions during the rulesync generate command? Specifically, I'm looking for a "pre-generate" hook or a dependency field in the configuration that allows us to run shell commands to ensure the environment is ready before the actual generation/sync happens.
We believe this would make the onboarding process for new team members much smoother and ensure consistency across different workstations.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
