Can't run opcache:compile

To reproduce:

$ php artisan opcache:clear

I have the same issue, but instead of a 500 I have a 404

Please check your config file config/opcache.php
In my case I had missing 'routes' folder.

I have default file, provided by this package.
I have routes folder in main app folder.

I also get this 500 error, it's unfortunately not useful as it does not say anything about why this could happen. I noticed when i comment out my vendor directory it compiles, but turning it on, does not. However, since vendor contains the most code, it makes sense this compiles
