This Code of Conduct applies to all VOMLabs spaces, including:
- GitHub repositories (issues, pull requests, discussions)
- Any other official VOMLabs channels
Members are expected to:
- Be respectful and constructive
- Give helpful, actionable feedback
- Assume good intentions
- Focus on improving the project
- Communicate professionally and kindly
- Accept feedback gracefully
- Help newer contributors
- Discuss ideas, not individuals
- Give credit where it's due
The following will not be tolerated:
- Harassment or discrimination of any kind
- Personal attacks or insults
- Toxic, hostile, or aggressive communication
- Spamming or intentionally disruptive behavior
- Intentionally harmful or malicious contributions
- Sharing private information without consent
Disagreements are normal in software development.
Resolve conflicts by:
- Providing clear technical reasoning
- Offering alternatives and trade-offs
- Respecting maintainer decisions
Final decisions rest with project maintainers.
Maintainers may take any of the following actions, depending on severity:
- Verbal or written warning — A private note explaining the issue
- Requesting behavior change — A clear expectation for next time
- Temporary restriction — Limited access to specific channels or repos
- Removing or reverting contributions — If the contribution is harmful
- Revoking repository or organization access — For repeated or severe violations
Most issues resolve at step 1 or 2. Escalation is rare and handled with discretion.
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, contact a maintainer privately. All reports will be handled confidentially and with discretion. You will receive a response within 48 hours.
