Mouse cursor/pointer disappear after 20250703 update

System Configuration:

• OS: Raspbian Bookworm
• Window Manager: Wayfire
• Hardware: Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5)
• All packages and system components are up to date.

Issue Description:
After updating raspi-config to version 20250703, the mouse cursor/pointer disappeared upon reboot.

• The mouse remains functional (e.g., it highlights menu items on hover) but is invisible.
• When booting directly into the GUI, the cursor is missing.
• The cursor only appears if the GUI is launched manually from a text console (e.g., via startx or wayfire).

Has a work-around or fix been found for this yet? is there an easy way to revert back to the older update?
