Dear @gioUbbiali, please excuse the rather late reply, but we're happy to let you know that we could offer you a 15 min slot to present PlasticO and its use case. Would you agree to this? |

Dear @StroemPhi, we would be very happy to present at Ontologies4Chem2026. However, both Ludger Jansen @JansenLudger and I are not sure we can attend the workshop in person yet. Is there a possibility for a remote presentation? If so, please count on us. And then, we will let you know whether at least one of us can attend in person. Otherwise, can you let us know a deadline by which we can confirm our participation? |

Context
We are developing an ontology to represent plastics, polymer molecules, and plastic objects as well as related pollution, named PlasticO. PlasticO is one of the module of the ClimOO Ontology suite, a series of nested ontological modules modeling plastics, (micro-)plastic pollution, and related interrelations with climate change, especially within agricultural systems. Use case: local South Tyrolean (Italy) agricultural production. PlasticO extends Sustainability Core Ontology (SCO) and Basic Formal Ontology (BFO) and imports from the Platform MaterialDigital Core Ontology (PMDco) and several OBO-Foundry ontologies. We would like to present the current status of PlasticO, related modelling challenges, and planned next steps.
Expected outcome of the workshop
Critical analysis and evaluation of PlasticO.
Suggestions for ontology implementation and curation.
Prerequisites issues/tasks
none.
Implementation issues/tasks
We will present the ontology, its context, and planned applications.
