Geostrophic forcing in CaseGen

When running the Case Generation with geostrophic set to true, the SCM output shows a periodicity in the wind component fields. If both wind_nudge and geostrophic are set to true, then there is no periodicity observed.

It is hypothesized that the geopotential gradient calculation may be reaching out too far. We may try using a fixed distance.

Thanks. My main notes are

1. I still think it is odd that height is not output by UFS. Can we ask for it?
2. Yes, a fixed distance > 100 km to each side should be sufficient for a local geostrophic wind.
3. It should also be time-dependent.
4. Having a geostrophic option should allow the Ekman layer to be more realistic.
