OpenDeviceDB lists the radios EdgeTX supports, including older ones that stay on 2.11 #7945

Does it really make sense to have EdgeTX in there? All currently supported devices are either made specifically for OpenTX or EdgeTX or EdgeTX was ported tomthe devices with the help of the manufacturer. So there is no "taking back" or "get control over you hardware" really, as they are all designed for open source firmware anyways. |

If the primary purpose of the directory is to advertise to people what devices are available with open source code / firmware, then IMO EdgeTX is definitely worthy of mention there... it will become the first place you go when looking for a device with these capabilities, and EdgeTX will show up as an option.
Correct... radios that are in the 2.11 branch, but not in later branches (i.e. 2.12, main) are no longer supported, primarily as they have STM32F2 MCUs .
The TX16S MK3 is actually in a release (i.e. in the 2.12 branch, and supported in the v2.12.0 release), but yes, generally, any radio that is not in a release is in pre-release nightly support mode. The fw.json in the repo root for the active release series/branch should give an indication as to which tagged versions included support for what. |

Hi, and thank you for EdgeTX. I'm sharing something built on fw.json, in case it's useful or you spot a problem.
OpenDeviceDB is a free directory of devices that already work with open code or open firmware. The code is AGPL and the data is CC BY-SA. It brings the supported-device lists of 25 projects together in one search: Zigbee2MQTT, Z-Wave JS, Tasmota, ESPHome, OpenWrt, LineageOS, coreboot, QMK, SANE, Betaflight and more. Someone holding a device can look up its label and find which project already supports it, even if they had never heard of that project. Every record links back to the project it comes from.
From fw.json on main and in the latest 2.12 and 2.11 releases, we list 61 radios. The install section points to the EdgeTX manual and EdgeTX Buddy: https://opendevicedb.org/devices/?source=edgetx (for example https://opendevicedb.org/devices/radiomaster/tx16s/).
