Code of conduct

The short version

Be decent. Assume the other person is trying to help. Argue about the code, not the person.

Our pledge

We as members, contributors and maintainers pledge to make participation in this project a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Standards

Things that make this project better:

  • Being kind and patient, especially with people new to AVD, Azure, or open source
  • Accepting constructive feedback gracefully, and giving it the same way
  • Focusing on what is best for people running this software
  • Saying "I do not know" instead of guessing, particularly about Microsoft or Nerdio APIs

Things that are not acceptable:

  • Sexualised language or imagery, and unwelcome attention of any kind
  • Trolling, insults, derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Publishing anyone's private information without permission — this includes posting tenant identifiers, customer names or user names from a real environment in an issue
  • Anything else that would be inappropriate in a professional setting

Enforcement

Maintainers may remove, edit or reject contributions that do not follow this code, and may temporarily or permanently ban anyone for behaviour they consider inappropriate.

Report problems by opening a private security advisory or contacting a maintainer directly. Reports are handled confidentially, and the reporter's privacy is respected.
