MACE-POLAR acting like a PCM model

Given the MACE-POLAR model allows you to apply an external field, could this external field be set to act as a solvent continuum, or would this require a solvent cavity to be assigned? I am wondering whether this model allows us to simulate solvent in a similar way to the popular polarizable continuum model.
